Exhibitor Guidelines

March 13-15, 2020

Below is helpful information for our exhibitors. Additional information and details can be found on pages 2-4 of the Spring 2020 Home Show Application.

Move-In
Move-in dates & times will be determined closer to show date. Show staff will be on-site to check exhibitors in and provide assistance. Once you arrive at Bartle Hall, make your way to the Show Office along the EAST WALL to check in. Upon checking in you will receive the Exhibitor Information Packet which contains your exhibitor badges as well as any additional information you should need to have a successful show!

Move-Out
Move-out MUST NOT begin until after the show closes at 5pm on Sunday. All exhibits must be completely removed by noon the next day (Monday) in order to avoid a penalty.

Move-out will be managed on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the large number of exhibitors, move out can start to back up. Exhibitors will be expected to load their cars quickly and then make room for the next car in line.

Exhibitor Parking
During show hours, exhibitors must park in any of the public parking lots or garages located near Bartle Hall, or at the 16th and Liberty lot where a free shuttle will take you to/from the show.

In-line Booth Guidelines
In-line exhibitors should pay heed to neighboring exhibits when constructing their booths. Click here to view in-line booth guidelines.

Floor Coverings
The Bartle Hall convention space is concrete so therefore, all exhibitors are required to cover their booth floor with carpet or other appropriate floor covering. The HBA does not provide floor coverings.
*Floor coverings can be ordered through the show decorator, George Fern Company.

Contests and Drawings
We encourage our exhibitors to offer contests and drawings in order to generate traffic to their booth. All drawings or other contests must comply with applicable laws. If your company plans to offer a giveaway, let us know and we’ll add your promotion information to our contests page that we’ll add prior to the event.

Food and Beverage Sampling
All exhibitors planning on selling and/or sampling food/beverages at the show must obtain a temporary health permit from the Kansas City Missouri Health Department-Food Protection Division at (816) 513-6315. Also, food sales require a contract with Aramark Food Services, who can be reached at (816) 221-2737.

Insurance
Exhibitors must provide their own workers’ compensation and property insurance and also general liability insurance in the minimum amount of $500,000. Proof of insurance must be submitted along with the completed Spring 2020 Home Show Application.

Electrical, Internet and Utilities
If your booth requires electrical, internet or other utility hook-ups, you must order this through Greenwave Technologies. You may order online here or contact Greenwave at convention@grnwav.com or (816) 513-5200.

*Please note that Bartle Hall does provide free public Wi-Fi; however, service levels are not guaranteed. If you need internet for credit card transactions or for anything critical to running your business, it is highly recommended that you purchase a password to the dedicated Wi-Fi for the event.

Show Decorator
The official show decorator is the George Fern Company who can assist exhibitors with everything from booth furnishings to signage to forklift and bobcat rental.
